Emanuel Multistate Review Live Courses (Summer 2008)

MBE Refresher Course (May)

The MBE Refresher Course in May features a comprehensive lecture series on the “Big Six” Multistate Bar Examination topics - Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law & Procedure, Evidence, Property, and Torts. These in-depth lectures will cover all of the frequently tested areas of law on the Bar Exam.

Experienced Bar Exam tutors will be available to work with you each day in small groups on specific content areas or questions.

The May course not only acts as a refresher to the MBE topics, but it may serve as either a stand-alone to MBE Bar Review study, or can be taken in conjunction with other state-specific Bar Review courses.

What you’ll get with the MBE Refresher Course:

  • MBE Review books, authored by Steve Emanuel
  • Lectures on substantive law from premier legal experts in Bar Review
  • Opportunities to work with tutors in small groups to help isolate weaknesses and answer specific exam-related questions

Intensive MBE Workshop (July)

The Intensive MBE Workshop in July will begin with a 200-question, simulated MBE. Experienced tutors will offer analysis of each question’s answer choices grouped by MBE subject. Following the simulated exam on Day 1, the analysis of the questions for three MBE subjects will be covered each subsequent day of the 3-day course.

Tutors will be available for additional questions or problems following each day’s lecture.

The July course serves as final Bar Exam preparation for anyone who has previously opted for home study, taken the MBE Refresher Course, or taken any comprehensive Bar Review lecture program.

What you’ll get with the Intensive MBE Workshop:

  • A complete 200-question simulated MBE, as well as an answer book drafted by Steve Emanuel thoroughly explaining the correct and incorrect answers to each question.
  • A separate "Hypo Book" illustrating additional examples of how black letter law is tested, following the same format and structure as your MBE books.
  • Tutors who will break down the simulated exam by specific subtopic and trend, highlighting some of the tricks and traps on the Bar Exam and providing strategies for success.
  • A short “Emanuel Confidential” mini-outline, which can serve as your final review up until the last minutes before the Bar Exam.

What you’ll get free with sign-up to EITHER the May or the July Course:

  • The Rigos Bar Review Series Multistate Bar (2-Volume Set), including more than 1,700 MBE practice questions, as well as MBE content outlines.
  • The Guide to Legal Writing Style offering tips on basic organization, structure, and formatting to help guide you to success on the Bar Exam.
